Catholic Church
Stainach-Pürgg
The first documented mention of the church dates back to 1240. The baroque high altar dates back to the second half of the 17th century. The altarpiece shows the Holy Family. The church contains a wealth of high-quality Gothic wall paintings depicting the life of the Virgin Mary, the Passion of Christ, the Last Judgement, angelic music and numerous saints. The uniform early Baroque figural decoration is also worth seeing.
