Glöckler Run

Hauptplatz Stainach

On January 5th, the eve of the Three Kings' Day, small groups or single bell ringers start from different directions - Niederhofen, beginning of Stainach/Unterburg, Sonnhof etc. - and parade through the village of Stainach.

This custom originated in the 19th century in the region around Ebensee. The handmade Glöckler caps are true works of art and are passed down as heirlooms. Motifs from the region, nature, with a religious background, zodiac signs and also coats of arms adorn these unique pieces.

At about 7.30 pm all bell ringers meet at the main square of Stainach. There you will be welcomed musically and the performance comes to an end until about 8.45 pm
