Stairway to nothingness

Ramsau am Dachstein

At the Dachstein, there is a real highlight waiting for you – 14 narrow stairs leading you right onto a glass shelf at dizzying height. Everyone who dares to step onto this shelf is standing directly in the rock’s face, 400 metres above the wall’s foot.

The Stairway to Nothingness was built in 2013 and connects to the Suspension Bridge right away. The Suspension bridge weighs about 5 tons.

n order to build these phenomena – the suspension bridge as well as the Stairway to Nothingness – 58 millimetres thick steel ropes and 63 tons of steel and concrete, transported with the piste caterpillar, were needed.

If you venture onto the Stairway to Nothingness you are rewarded with an extraordinary panoramic view of the surrounding mountain area. The Stairway to Nothingness can accommodate up to 4 people.

Dogs are not allowed on the stairway to nothingness!

Einfach traumhaft

Super

A great view from the top, nice glacier. You can stop at the restaurant for food or drinks or walk around on the glacier or on the opposite direction to a small hutt or even on the top. I recommend also for families.
