The Austriahütte, a hut of the Austrian Alpine Association, benefits from its beautiful location at 1.638 m to the foot of the Dachstein. The Austriahütte was built in 1880 and is, therefore, the oldest standing mountain shelter of the Dachstein massif. It is also home to Styria’s highest situated museum.
The building offers two cosy lounges with views onto the south face of the Dachstein and the Bischofsmütze.
There are 43 beds separated into 2-bed, 3-bed, 4-bed and 5-bed rooms as well as a 16-bed dorm.
